Coil Buswork layouts
(Smith)
Mark reviewed the latest
routing of the upgrade coil busswork. Chrzanowski commented that
projections vertically from the upper dome port need to clear the busswork
for diagnostic access.
Outer
TF leg support ring drawings [Mangra (see VGs) ]
Danny
presented the latest refinement of the outer TF leg support ring. The ring
now runs around the VV at the same radius as the outer legs at the elevation of
the TF leg brackets. The ring now clears the MPTS support column without
modifications.
PF 4/5
Support Columns/Tile Qualification/Plasma Disruption Scenarios [Titus (see
VGs) ]
The
PF4/5 support columns are now lightly stressed in the latest analysis and can be
lightened up.
A spreadsheet and model has been developed to qualify
centerstack and passive plates tiles in the upgraded design.
There was a lengthy discussion about the plasma
"disruption" scenarios in the GRD. The existing scenarios move the plasma
current from the middle of the VV down to the lower divertor but do not send the
current to zero. Titus questioned whether or not this was realistic.
Should the scenarios be changed with currents ending suddenly at zero to
reflect a disruption. Is there actual disruption data that someone (an
intern?) could collect to generate a more realistic disruption.
