Notes from 6/16 Meeting:

Some dates to remember:

                                • SRD revisions (Draft) DUE NOW

                                • PDR June 23-24

                                • CD-2 Lehman Cost and Schedule Review August 10-11

                                • CD-2 September

Centerstack Tile Analysis (Boales) see VGs

Initial stress analysis of the centerstack tiles has been performed.  The run included thermal, halo current and eddy current loads on the tiles on the CS cylindrical section.  The results indicate the stresses in the CFC material is low, approximately 10% of the allowables (2D material). This is good news and allows the use of the less expensive CFC materials in this area as planned.

Diagnostics Space and Coil Structures [Smith (see VGs) ]

Mark Smith presented the PF and OTF structures to begin discussions with diagnostics on the best way to plan and coordinate installation of the structure to minimize the impact to the existing installations.  Several methods of dealing with the work were discussed including detailed modeling of the diagnostics,  coarse simplified modeling of the diagnostic locations, metrology to document and map the diagnostics, and photographic study of the area.  Brent Stratton has provided a Diagnostic Port assignment drawing to help identify the diagnostics locations.  Mark Smith will be providing models of the structures for use in installation planning.

Mike Viola will take the lead to work with diagnostics to develop a plan for the installation of the structure.

Outstanding Action Items (last update 6/17/2010)

Update SRD is around for approval.  The idea of a Design Load Requirements (Criteria) Document is a good one. Action: Mark Smith to pull this together for the Structures– Need this BEFORE the PDR

Action:  We have a set of Calculations signed off, but not all were checked for the CDR.  These calcs need to be updated and checked (by PDR?). ACTION: Titus
