Notes from 1/20 Meeting:

Dudek
Milestones for the completion of design and supporting analysis have been generated.  Progress against dates will be tracked during the monthly statusing meetings.  See VGs

Titus
The loads on the VV TF clevis exceed the capacity of the 3/16" weld.  Would need to increase the welds to 1/2" to reduce stresses to an acceptable level.  Also presented stress analysis on the CS bellow assembly at worst case 500C.  Results indicate some work is needed to reduce the stresses by adjusting the starting position.  See VGs

Zolfaghari

Ali presented the OH Coil Structural Analysis based on the latest design point.  All stresses are now within required limits.  See VGs

Neumeyer
Working on the PF coil design should have something to report at next meeting.

Outstanding Action Items (last update 1/20/2010)
Action: Neumeyer to update GRD to reflect latest revision. Due 1/5/10

Action: WBS Managers provide input for modification of FMEAs by 1/31 to C. Neumeyer.

Action: Ali to rerun OH Coil thermal with throttled flows to see if stresses can be reduced.
Status(1/6/2010): Latest analysis indicates stresses are at acceptable limits

Action: Dudek to meet with Mangra and Titus to work out need dates and priority list of items.
CLOSED (1/20/2010): Milestones submitted to P&C to track during statusing.

Action: Structural design criteria has a table with likelihood of failures that is in the NSTX (orig.) GRD.  Structural design criteria needs work to be released such as references Action: Titus to have it updated for approval and release

Action:  Inner PF Coils: CN needs to check if max volts / turn doesn't generate too much voltage on coils.  If 2 kv or more may need addressing.
STATUS ( 1/20/10) CN still working
