Al,

NBI Upgrade:  WAF revisions are complete and forwarded to the Project Office. Tile analysis continues on the NBI Armor to incorporate improved understanding of tile parameters. Initial data suggests that PDR analysis is validated and indeed is conservative. The Tritium NBI Decon effort was presented at the T-2010 conference in Japan this week by Craig Priniski on behalf of the NBI group.

NBI Refurbishment: Work continues to clear area for the disassembly of the Ion Dump. Drawing checks continue on the Ion Dump also. Discussions have been held with the Fabrication Division regarding the machining, brazing and brace assembly requirements. Reassembly of the 90 inch flange has been discussed with the Project Office and proposed as a means of gaining floor space and making additional refurbishment progress while the new dump is in fabrication.

Regards,

Tim
