Subject: NBI Upgrade Weekly Status 10/16/09

NBI Upgrade:  Dry run presentations of materials for CDR took place on all NBI jobs this week. Comments are being incorporated this week so materials can be posted as soon as possible. A Risk Registry meeting was held for project management. The Cost Estimate cases were also reviewed at this meeting.

NBI Decon:  Decon continued this week on the magnet, magnet shield, and 90 inch flange. Surveys indicate steady progress. A meeting was held this week with NBI, HP, and ERWM to discuss decon plans for the Lid and Box. A consensus was reached among all groups. Improvements to both proposed decon apparatus and staff PPE and PCs for the Lid and Box decon have been identified and are being ordered.
