Subject:                          NBI Upgrade Weekly Status 2/25/11

Mike,

NBI Upgrade:  Significant progress has been made on NBI Controls drawings for the upgrade. Drawings on the TVPS portion of the duct are still in progress but were slowed somewhat by recent outage support. Armor thermal analyses are in very good shape with only a short list of scenarios left to run for the FDR. Good progress on the vacuum vessel global model continues which will also supply specific needed answers on weld details for Bay J, K, & L. Drafting support for beamline services is being identified as designers become available to complete preliminary drawings for all piping runs. Electrical drawing efforts are resuming with plans to have all drawings completed by the Peer Review. No refurbishment activities were planned this week while NB staff continue to support outage activities.

Regards,

Tim
