Subject:	NBI Upgrade Weekly Status 8/26/11

NBI Upgrade:  VV reinforcement analysis and optimization continued this week. Another 
meeting to evaluate changes will be scheduled next week. Effort continues on reviewing, 
finalizing, and approving drawings. Requisitions were prepared and approved for BL, controls, 
gradient grid, switchgear, and TVPS hardware. Armor calculation preparation continues and is 
scheduled to complete by the end of the month. A revision to the General Arrangement drawing 
to update aisles, BL space requirements, and life safety code pass through access has been 
drafted and is under consideration.

NBI Refurbishment:  Refurbishment activity continued in the Test Cell. Calorimeter disassembly 
began this week and is nearly complete. The dismantled parts will be turned over to ERWM for 
rad waste disposal per procedure. A laundry shipment was cleared for release.
