Subject:                          NBI Upgrade Weekly Status 8/27/10

Al,

NBI Upgrade:  Evaluation of Armor carbon tiles and specifications continued including additional vendor contact. Efforts continued to add notes and specifications on preliminary drawings for duct weldments. TMP magnetic shield models are being prepared for analysis to confirm benefits of shielding to the TMPs in the upgrade magnetic field environment.

NBI Decon: Test Cell decon activities included low level decon on the BL external water rack and platform. Some area maintenance has been performed this week also to maintain the Test Cell.

Regards,

Tim
