Subject:                          NBI Upgrade Weekly Status 8/13/10

Al,

NBI Upgrade: Project Management participated in the Office of Science NSTXU Project Readiness Review. The review was generally considered successful. The Lehman review team provided a straightforward path toward CD-2 and project baseline approval. Project management began planning an external cost and schedule review as recommended.

NBI Decon:  Decon included BL exit baffle door piece, cryo pipes, source platform, and the BL external water rack. Much progress has been made. Test Cell area maintenance has been performed on a routine basis. Planning and preparation for taking core samples of the copper on the ion dump continues.

Regards,

Tim
