Subject: NBI Upgrade Weekly Status 8/28/09

NBI Upgrade:  Focus has been primarily on insuring appropriate levels of detail and self-consistency of cost and schedule estimates across jobs. Preparing the resource loaded schedule for review is approximately 25% complete. 

NBI Duct: A prototype model requisition was prepared and approved to build a model of the duct region.

NBI Decon:  The BL4 Lid removal and stand preparations were completed. The Lid was removed and placed in its stand. The Lid and its cryogenics panels appear to be in good shape.  The disassembly of BL4 major components is now complete. Surveys to characterize contamination levels on the lid and its cryogenics panels are in progress.
