Notes from 9/21/2011 Meeting:
Four week look ahead (Strykowsky)
OH Conductor procurement released, 9/21. TF Bundle Molds released, 9/23 & Bellows formed 
Bellows released, 9/23
CS High Bay cluttered with new objects which have been moved in, cryo system from NCSX 
mod. coil test, etc.  HVAC upgrade needs to be completed for winding area to become 
operational. 

OPEN Action: Labik to pre-order materials for the construction of the MPTS vacuum interface.


Review of chits needed for Lehman review (Strykowsky)

Only two chits remain open: 
Chit 201106-06 & 201106-1 OPEN Action: Titus to provide response to B. Jedic to close out 
these chits.


VV Dome Rib Update (Smith) (see vgs)
Mark reviewed the latest iteration of the rib reinforcements beneath the umbrella legs.  While it 
improved the stresses in the ribs it did not go far enough.  While try to add more weld to the tabs 
sides to see if that might reduce the stresses further.

OTF Clevis Pin Analysis (Rogoff) (see vgs)
Clevis connection looks okay except for the pin.  Stresses in the pin are approx. 180 ksi.  Pete 
suggested modifying the outer leg clevis connection to include 2 pins. Action:Mark and Pete to 
work out a solution.


VV Buckling Analysis (Han) (see vgs)
Han completed the buckling analysis, the safety factor against buckling for the VV is greater 
than 9.0.  Action: Neway to work with Han and Pete to have the upgraded NB cap incorporated 
into the buckling analysis.

GRD Rev 4 (Menard) (see vgs)
Jon reviewed the changes made to the shot spectrum in GRD Rev 4 and explained how it 
compared to the existing operational limits.
