Upcoming Reviews (Strykowsky) (Draft Agenda's Attached) Peer review for the Centerstack Upgrade is planned for May 18th. This will be a pencils down review similar to the others held before the CDR and PDR. A few external reviewers will be Final Design Review is scheduled for June 22nd and 23rd. Update on design point spreadsheet (Hatcher) (see VGs) An OPERA analysis was used to study the effect of plasma shape on the forces seen by the PF coils during normal operation and post disruption. The analysis was run using three simplified constant density plasma models;, a circular cross section, rectangular cross section and a shaped cross section. The conclusion was that there is no easy way to "scale" the results of one model so that results are conservative overall. A shaped variable current density model would yield more realistic results but is not amenable to a spreadsheet result. The design point spreadsheet up til now had been using coil currents without the plasma as that was thought to be the most conservative condition. The design point spreadsheet has now been updated using the worst conditions of the constant density shaped plasma model. The new spreadsheet is now in the hands of the designers and is being evaluated for its potential impact on the design. Viewgraphs will be posted by B.
