Action R. Hatcher to file the OPERA 2D Disruption analysis by 2/28. Update on the Lid with Hub reinforcement (Zolfigari) (see VGs) The analysis of the crown assembly was updated with the moments generated by the lid connection. Results indicate that no "hub" reinforcement above the lid is required. The stresses in the copper connection are low enough to permit some optimization of the G10 crown connection to reduce stresses there. Clarification is needed with regard to what connection between the lid and umbrella is required. The model figures look like the connection is rigid which should simplify the connection between the lid and umbrella. Action: Ali to confirm lid to umbrella conneciton DCPS Update (Woolley) (see VGs) Working on the difference between Woolley and TItus TF Inner Leg Torsional shear numbers. Suspect stiffness model coefficients may be the reason. Simulating coil current wafeforms during post- protective action transients with / without disruption including passive structure. Initial code version expected later in February. Proposed TF Inner Leg analysis update (Titus) (see VGs) After reviewing the work done to date on the TF Inner leg bundle Titus concluded a calculation dedicated to the TF Inner Leg and the Friction Stir Welded Joint, is needed. Yuhu Zhai can be made available to do this calc or M. Smith could extract the submodel from the global model he's working on now. Dudek to discuss with Titus and Smith to resolve.
