Status of the VV Model and Coil Support Structure Modeling  [M. Smith (see VGs) ]
Mark presented the status of the VV models and analysis for stress and buckling that he and T. 
Willard have been working on.   Also showed the status of the model refinement going on for the 
Coil support structures.

TF Bundle Cooling and Stress [H. Zhang (see VGs) ]
Han presented the cooling analysis at the TF Conductor-Stub interface.  The latest run included 
some additional material on the inside radius which reduced the temperature in the leg 
significantly. The max temperature is now 113C in a small region which looks okay with the 
Cyanate Ester max temperature of 115C.  

Also looked at the effect of  inner leg cooling passage diameter (0.25") on stress.  At this 
diameter stress in copper-epoxy bond ~ 48 Mpa which compares to 90 Mpa epoxy bond strength.

Discussed possibility of reducing the flow in the leg by throttling water or installing orifice plate 
to reduce thermal stresses.  Need to check if the lower water flow will effect temperature due the 
resistance change with temperature. (ACTION: Han Zhang)

Bellevile Washer design for OH Preload assy [Rogoff (see VGs) ]
Pete walked through the design of the bellevilles to preload the OH Coil.  Using an excel 
spreadsheet and vendor software he selected washers that will provide between 500k to 5 million 
cycles depending on coil currents, well above the GRD requirement.
 
Progress on Disruption Analysis analysis [Titus (see VGs) ]
Pete provided an update on the Disruption analysis.  May need to upgrade hardware between 
plates and brackets and brackets to VV.  Need to improve fidelity of the bolt model to 
determine.

Summary of Intern Work over the Summer [Boales (see VGs) ]
Joe reviewed his impressive list of projects and accomplishments while here this summer. 
 Hopefully he will be able to come back to PPPL in the future.  Kudos for a job well done!
