Subject:                          NBI Upgrade Weekly Status 6/25/10

Al,

NBI Upgrade: The NSTXU PDR was held this week and was deemed acceptable pending resolution of chits and recommendations. The NBI Upgrade design and status of the Decon effort was presented in detail. The Decon effort was deemed successful. The design work was found acceptable and in keeping with a PDR. No major chits were generated. One recommendation was made by the committee and is in keeping with project plans.

NBI Decon:  Decon efforts continued on the cryo panels chevrons. Decon wipedowns continued on the interior of the beam box. Levels continue to drop. Decon has been completed on the ion dump louvers in the fumehoods in the Source Shop Decon room. The Louvers have been moved back to the ion dump area in the Test Cell to clear the fumehoods for source work. Test Cell area maintenance has been performed on a routine basis.

Regards,

Tim
