Subject:                          NBI Upgrade Weekly Status 6/11/10

Al,

NBI Upgrade: PDR dry run presentations took place on all NB jobs. Minor actions items are being resolved and included. WAF scrutiny continues to refine estimates.

NBI Decon:  Decon wipedowns continued on the interior of the beam box. Decon spray continued on the calorimeter. Decon continued on the ion dump louvers in the fumehoods. Levels continue to drop. Test Cell area maintenance has been performed on a routine basis. The Test Cell area was configured to allow an NSTX source to traverse the Test Cell to the Mockup Building for maintenance which is the first such occasion since the Decon job was started. This successful maneuver is a prelude to the process that will be involved for the Upgrade Relocation job where equipment will be staged and moved into the NSTX Test Cell.

Regards,

Tim
